Sooo.. I caught up on the new season of Chuck on NBC.  I enjoyed that show, was sad to hear that it had been cancelled and happy that they reversed that decision and signed it up for another season; however I'm finding the first episode (which is split into three of them online) is nowhere near as good as previous seasons have been.  Why?  Well Chuck now has the super-duper-improved "intersect" program downloaded into his head.   Esentially, he's a walking computer and the "I know Kung Fu" stuff? ...  First, it's been done already and second, just ... ugh.   I enjoyed his bumbling along and not really knowing what he's doing in the previous seasons, although occasionally lighting up with pertinent info about something or other; however being a wannabe spy who can tap into the unstoppable plethora of instant knowledge who *still* bumbles around like an idiot, is annoying.  And the sheer number of his "flashes" in that first one for this season was a bit sickening too.   Maybe some of the old writers jumped ship -- who knows, but I'm hoping they'll resolve this super spy thing shortly and get it back to the more interesting interactions the characters used to have.

I thought I'd experiment with a paid account.  I don't have to have one, as I've been really pleased with the way the plus account I had was working out for me, but I thought what the heck as the price was right and I was curious.  Unless it's something I absolutely can't live without, I'll probably just revert back to the regular unpaid account when this one runs out.  That said, I'm off to test out new layouts and user pics.
